Letting Go

Full-view please! Took me so long to do all the little details, including the moss stuff. My entry for Adele Sessler's contest. Took me a bit over two weeks combined, although I did a few touch ups recently. Gah...the butterflies murdered me...especially since I had to do them with mouse! *growl. I like how it turned out though, even if his arm is kinda wonky.

It's Adele's character Faeren in the Forest of Illusions. The white ribbon is his tie to everything he has been forced to leave behind and he's finally letting it go and accepting his new life as a part of the Forest of Illusions. With this acceptance comes the change in his physical appearance, hence all the mold and what not growing on him as the green vine-thing progresses.
